1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

This website is created and managed by the Directorate General for Economic Development, Research and Innovation.

The Website Whygeneva is available, with the exception of photographs and other audio and video under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 Switzerland.

Permissions beyond the scope of this license may be available at promotion@etat.ge.ch

2. DATA PROTECTION

We want to constantly improve our website. In order to adapt the content of our web pages to your expectations, it is important for us to know the most visited sections, both in terms of frequency and duration of visits. The data collected from visitors to our sites are treated in accordance with the provisions of data protection in force in the canton of Geneva. Whygeneva site may contain links to websites of other providers to which this data protection declaration does not extend ipso facto.

4. COLLECTION AND USE OF DATA

When you visit our website, our servers automatically record information of a general nature. These include the date of your visit, your browser type, operating system of your computer, the domain name of your Internet service provider, and therefore only non-personal information does not allow identify you. The only personal data recorded are those that you decide to give yourself, p. ex. during an inquiry, a response to a survey, etc..
In addition, as a provider of telecommunication services, the State of Geneva has a legal obligation to keep for at least 6 months of traffic data and billing transactions recorded during online, law enforcement Federal Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications (LSCPT, SR 780.1)

5. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

Swiss law is applicable to this website according to the terms and conditions outlined above. In case of dispute, only the courts of Geneva shall have jurisdiction.
