Swiss workers benefit from the best working conditions

A report by the World Economic Forum shows that Swiss workers benefit from the best working conditions globally, especially in terms of health and environment.

Switzerland holds the top position of the Human Capital Index ranking released by the World Economic Forum, which lists countries that treat their workers best. The ranking includes four criteria - education, health, employment and environment - and analyses 122 countries.

Other items that have been studied in this report are the legal framework, transport and communications infrastructure, which have an impact on working conditions.

Switzerland preceeds Finland, Singapore, the Netherlands and Sweden. In contrast, Yemen stands at the bottom of the ranking. In general, regions where working conditions are the most difficult are the Middle East and Africa.
